Bareilly (Desk) – A major clash broke out in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday after Jume ki Namaz (Friday Namaz). A crowd carrying banners with “I Love Mohammad” created chaos at several places, forcing the police to resort to a lathi-charge to bring the situation under control.On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reacted strongly to the incident. He said, “Yesterday in Bareilly, a Maulana forgot who holds power in this state. He thought he could disrupt the system whenever he wanted, but we made it very clear that neither blockade nor curfew will be allowed here.”Yogi Adityanath emphasized that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh witnessed frequent riots and curfews. However, since his government came to power, the situation has completely changed. He asserted that the law and order system is now so strong that there has been no need to impose curfew.Issuing a stern warning, the CM said, “The lesson we have taught will make future generations think twice before indulging in riots. Disrupting the system is not the way. Since 2017, Uttar Pradesh has been moving forward on the path of development and peace.”Following the violence, the police managed to bring the situation under control. Several miscreants have been identified, and strict action is being taken against them.The Chief Minister reiterated that his government gives top priority to law and order. He added, “Uttar Pradesh can develop only when peace and order are maintained in the state.”Meanwhile, cleric Tauqeer Raza was kept under preventive house arrest to ensure the situation did not escalate further.
